ICPU

CALLING FUNDERS

We are calling on funders to partner with the ICPU in establishing a full-time professional expert team to lead our Case Review Unit.

While volunteers have carried this work with passion, the scale and urgency of the failures within the child protection system demand a permanent, multidisciplinary team of experienced professionals in education, policing, social welfare, and the medico-legal sector.

With your support, we can ensure that every case is thoroughly reviewed, every failure is exposed, and every child has a real chance at justice and protection.

What the ICPU Offers Funders:

  1. Accountability and Transparency: Full reporting on the use of funds, including detailed progress and financial reports.

  2. Impactful Outcomes: Direct contribution to protecting vulnerable children, addressing systemic failures, and pursuing justice for those most at risk.

  3. Expertise and Credibility: Access to a team of highly experienced professionals in child protection, social welfare, law enforcement, medico-legal services, and education.

  4. Partnership and Collaboration: Opportunities to be part of a proactive network that works with communities, government, and NGOs to strengthen child protection systems.

  5. Recognition and Visibility: Funders are acknowledged in communications, campaigns, and reports, highlighting their commitment to child protection.

  6. Sustainable Change: Support not just individual cases, but systemic reform that prevents abuse, neglect, and exploitation of children over the long term.

  7. Section 18A Tax Benefits: Contributions to the ICPU are tax-deductible under Section 18A, providing financial incentives for corporate and individual donors.

  8. BEE Compliance: Funding the ICPU can contribute to a company’s Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) scorecard, particularly in social development and community investment initiatives.
