Following the tragic murder of the young boy Thabang, Christina founded the Independent Child Protection Unit in 2020. Through the ICPU, she provides specialist child protection consultation to professionals and parents, supporting them in navigating a deeply flawed and fragmented child protection system. Utilising her 40 years of experience within the system, Christina not only assists individual cases but also designs and strengthens child protection models, develops strategic frameworks, and delivers targeted training to professionals working within the sector. Over the past five years, Christina and the ICPU have supported hundreds of children and families in seeking justice, safeguarding vulnerable lives, and facilitating healing.
